Santa is coming to the Town of Bogue!
Santa and his elves will be traveling through the neighborhoods of Bogue on Thursday, December 17th beginning at 6:00 pm.
Listen for the sirens – that’s how you’ll know he is getting close to your area.
He will be handing out goodie bags for all the children, so be sure to step outside and wave as he goes by!

America 250 Fest in Carteret County will celebrate our nation’s history over the past 250 years. North Carolina played an early and important role in the American Revolution. The Halifax Resolves, adopted in April 1776, made North Carolina the first colony to officially sanction independence. From coastal towns to the mountain communities, people across North Carolina joined the fight for freedom and helped lay the foundation for the new nation. America 250 NC is not just about marking a date on the calendar. It is a chance to explore how these founding ideas were lived out, challenged, and reimagined by the people of North Carolina. From political acts to everyday resistance, from well-known leaders to unsung voices, this commemoration helps us better understand our shared past and invites us to shape the future together.

In this Post Disaster Simulation, you will learn about the importance of being prepared. This journey walks you through the weeks following a disaster. Participants will experience what it’s like navigating life after a disaster and the many barriers faced. It also highlights the added struggles for individuals living with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders. This event is offered in partnership with Carteret County Emergency Services, Trillium Health Resources, and Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church. Bogue Day 2025
The Town of Bogue celebrated its 30-year anniversary on September 21, 2025, aboard U.S. Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue. It was a beautiful eastern North Carolina September Day. The Marine Corps Color Guard, based at MCAS Cherry Point, presented the colors at the beginning of the celebration, while local vocalist Tajuana Guthrie sang the National Anthem. The town provided barbecue plates expertly crafted by Jeremy and his team at Fat Fellas BBQ, Kona Ice was on hand to serve up their version of shave ice, and Coke products were also available. The local band, Knok Knok, provided music for all to enjoy. MCALF had some static displays on site, with the pilots of each helicopter offering interesting facts and allowing the public to climb inside. Local businesses Waters Contracting Company and L.B. Page Landscaping Company were integral in the success of the celebration due to generous donations, as well as in-kind donations by Coca-Cola Consolidated.
